Safe Work Method Statement Template

SWMS are required for the 18 high risk construction work activities defined in the WHS Regulation. A SWMS is not required for ‘work of a minor nature’. Documenting a SWMS ensures that the process involved in the task is considered from a safe perspective and documented for future reference. It does not replace the use of procedures, task analysis or training, but does provide a structured method for evaluating a task and how to make it safe.
